Play Festival is Italy's biggest tabletop gaming event. Three days in Bologna, thousands of players, publishers from across Europe. For us, it's the first real public milestone for Tiny Legions and it's coming up fast.
Here's where things stand.
The printers are running
We have three resin printers in the workshop right now, and they've been busy. The past few months have been about dialing in the process, finding the right resin for each product type, calibrating exposure settings, building a quality control routine that works consistently across batches.
It sounds technical, and it is. But the result is what matters: we can now produce a miniature that holds up against anything you'd find in a retail box, made to order, in a reasonable turnaround time.
The first samples
We've been printing test runs of our current collections: the Panopticon set, the Dark Forest figures, the 1906 series. Some came out perfectly first try. Some took three or four iterations to get right. That's normal. The goal isn't to get lucky once. It's to build a process you can repeat.
The samples we're taking to Bologna will be the ones that passed every check. We want anyone who picks one up to immediately understand what the quality standard is.
What we're bringing to Bologna
Our plan for Play Festival is simple: show up, talk to people, and listen. We want to meet the publishers who are there, understand what they're working on, and have a real conversation about whether Tiny Legions could be a fit for their games. No hard sell. Just an honest conversation backed by product you can hold in your hand.
If you're going to Play Festival this year, come find us. We'd love to meet you.
Follow along
Between now and May we'll be posting updates more samples, behind-the-scenes from the workshop, and a closer look at the collections we're bringing. If you want to follow along, the best way is to join our list below.
